The Kitchen is housed in modern, architect designed building located on the banks of the River Ness, open since 2007, the contemporary cooking, friendly atmosphere and exceptional views of Inverness Castle have made the restaurant one of Inverness’s favourites.

The restaurant is laid out over three floors, each with a unique view of the Castle and River, the addition of a heated roof terrace make The Kitchen the place to see and be seen! All the tables have a great view, but you can book a table next to the kitchen and see the chefs create their dishes; available for up to eight guests.

The philosophy of the restaurant is to captivate you with great food, great service and exceptional value.

  • This is a modern restaurant on the bank of the river (Google Review, Sep19)

Very distinctive building – a glass box with a wavy roof. It is busy so you need to make a booking well in advance if you want to sit on one of the two upper floors – worth it for the view. We were on the ground floor but we still enjoyed it. The atmosphere was quietly lively and the staff were all pleasant, welcoming and helpful. We both ordered from the specials board and the food was excellent. We would definitely go back if we were in Inverness again.

  • Girly catch up! (Trip Advisor Review, Oct19)

Lovely catch up with a stunning view of the Castle. The two course lunch menu had lots of options to choose from. Really prompt and efficient service just what you want when you limited for time. Food was delicious. Both Lauren & Evan provided fabulous service! Thanks guys!
